Hello! Tis the season to…handle beliefs about witchcraft! Really? Most of us probably don’t take those beliefs very seriously at all. However, a talk given at a recent meeting of the Association of Organizations for Christian Science Nursing (AOCSN) emphasized the importance of addressing this subject. Some of our international Christian Science nurses and practitioners need to dedicatedly pray about it because witchcraft and the belief of curses is practiced in their culture. We need to be alert to related subtleties in every culture.
Although there isn’t a spiritual activity this month created specifically to refute witchcraft, our Bible Lessons, and the spiritual activities they inspired, provide ample opportunities to address it. We will be assured that God’s omnipotence, omnipresence and omniscience eliminate anything unlike God’s eternal goodness.
