Our Broadview community acknowledges all the good that is regularly given to us! This includes our daily Bible Lesson readers, those who conduct Testimony Meetings, teens who have helped with clerical & organizational projects, those who join in our Hymn Sings, and those of you who participated in our April gardening volunteer event! Please know your good work never goes unnoticed. Thank you for dedicatedly supporting our Christian Science ministry with infinite love. Keep a look out for Broadview’s next volunteer event!
These photos are from our April gathering where we had 26 volunteers from 6 different Southern California Christian Science branch churches attend our first Church Angels Event “Goats and Giving in the Garden.” Folks showed up ready to give their precious time and enthusiastic energy to beautifying Broadview. Attracting some very accomplished gardeners who lent their expertise in planting and extensive weeding & trimming significantly spruced up Broadview’s fountain area garden. We actually had to encourage them to stop to eat the employee provided pot luck! Everyone also enjoyed the visiting baby goats who humorously consumed many weeds!
We want to continue this collaboration, inviting other branch churches to come and give a day at our next Church Angel event that will have a different activity to share in. We’re also planning a Volunteer Appreciation event celebrating our current volunteers – a gathering with familiar friends and creatures. Details on this should be arriving soon!
