Healing Moments – June 2017

Healing moments are often about the progress of Broadview’s guests. However, progress can also be found among our staff.

One staff member found they had unintentionally run a red light at an intersection. And while this intersection is normally busy, the cars in the other lanes stood still, and patiently waited for her to pass. There was a sense of perfect protection for everyone at that intersection.

This same staff member went home to do some laundry, and had washed a thick quilt but had forgotten to dry it overnight. She considered putting it in the dryer while away at work, but decided to simply air dry it instead. Upon returning home and finding the quilt still damp, she then placed it in the dryer to dry completely. A few moments later when she went to check on it, she found  that everything smelled like “the smoke of a Yosemite campfire”. This staff member shared her deep gratitude for God’s guidance to not leave something in the dryer while away at work, and for His guidance to check the dryer when they had.

This month’s healing moments are a joyous reminder of God’s care and protection. Infinite gratitude for the healings among Broadview’s staff, and the continuous healings of our guests.

“How blessed it is to think of you as ‘beneath the shadow of a great rock in a weary land,’ safe in His strength, building on His foundation, and covered from the devourer by divine protection and affection. Always bear in mind that His presence, power, and peace meet all human needs and reflect all bliss.”  (Miscellaneous Writings 263:8)
