Handling World Beliefs about Health Wrap-Up

What a great turnout we had for our July workshop! The two hours were packed with insight and inspiration, and all left armed with metaphysical tools to handle world beliefs about health.

The morning opened with short talks by Dan Wood, Los Angeles Bureau Chief for The Christian Science Monitor, and Kathy Sublette, Christian Science Practitioner. We then enjoyed a panel discussion with these two as well as Melanie Pilonieta, our Manager of Christian Science Nurse Education on three different world beliefs about health. Each shared how they work metaphysically in their unique roles when presented with these beliefs.

That set the stage for our audience to break out into discussion groups, each with its own world belief about health to handle. We reconvened to hear group reports and a wrap-up from our panelists. Some of the topics we worked on were:

  • The world believes that good health isn’t affordable.
  • The world believes that ill health is hereditary.
  • The world believes that getting sick is ‘normal’.
