What is GivingTuesday?

This year Giving Tuesday falls on November 29th. GivingTuesday is a global movement that reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and radical generosity. Our weekly bible lesson often shows us the healing power of generosity. We see it in the story of the Good Samaritan and in Jesus’ abundant love for the man with leprosy, as he touches him and heals him, saying, “I will”.

So often it is easy for us to share generosity with others, but are we as generous to ourselves? Do we give ourselves grace, or expect material perfection? This year as you begin to list the many things you are grateful for, we would like you to include yourself and we have enlisted the help of Jennifer Ann Gordon Perea, CS to help us.

This is our gift of gratitude for you. The first, in a series of three emails, to help us see what our Father-Mother God sees in us. In this email Jennifer will read her poem, published in the February 2022, Christian Science Sentinel, The only me.
