| Broadview was made possible through the love and generosity of Christian Scientists in Southern California. In the early 1930s, several Christian Science teachers and their pupils saw the need for a Christian Science nursing home in the area. Construction began in 1946 and Broadview opened its doors in 1947 with thirteen rooms. It has continuously served the needs of Christian Scientists ever since and, following several additions, now has 39 rooms. Broadview is accredited by the Organization for the Accreditation of Christian Science Nursing Organizations/Facilities, Inc., and is a member of the Association for Organizations for Christian Science Nursing. As one of only sixteen U.S. Christian Science nursing facilities that are Medicare providers, Broadview is held to the high standards required of Medicare facilities and is subject to unannounced inspections by federal officials. Broadview has a 60-year track record of serving students of Christian Science. |  |
